At Novotel Devonport we are currently seeking a Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team!
Overlooking the Mersey River, the Novotel Devonport boasts an unrivalled waterfront location, unique design, outstanding service and an exciting food & beverage concept.
As a Guest Service Agent, no two days are the same.
You will assist our guests with all aspects of their arrival and departure experience, and everything in between - check in, check out, luggage assistance, and responding to guest requests - whilst at the same time, creating unforgettable heartfelt moments.
Responsibilities Be the first point of contact and greet guests with a warm welcome every time.
Provide exceptional service to our guests in every interaction by anticipating their needs, responding to requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
Make the check-in, check-out process run smoothly.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure procedures are followed in relation to guest confidentiality, issuing of room keys, handling credit cards, etc.
Ensure the security of our guests and their possessions.
Handle guest complaints in a positive manner escalating as required.
Communicate effectively with other departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage to assist guests in regard to room changes, dining bookings, etc.
Keep other members of the front office team informed on guest feedback, requirements, etc.
during and on shift change.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and capabilities to increase the guest experience.
Qualifications An energetic, team-focused, and can-do attitude.
Enthusiasm to connect with guests and to hear their story.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
High level of computer literacy.
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to work across a 24/7 roster - evenings, mornings, and weekends.
