Job Title: Part-Time Maintenance Officer

Maranoa Centre is a warm and welcoming community that provides 90 beds for residents across all levels of care, including dementia care and respite care services. Our lush rainforest patch on-site features over 30 species of established rainforest trees where many people love to rest and read.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and assist the Maintenance Team Leader in executing maintenance work and ensuring all relevant documentation is compliant.
* Perform gardening duties, and carry out physical inspections of property and premises.
* Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance work on buildings, plant and equipment, furniture, fittings, gardens, lawns, and carparks.
* Report and manage resident and staff complaints regarding maintenance services.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff and contractors.
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 12 months experience in preventative and reactive maintenance systems.
* Hands-on property maintenance experience.
* Ability to work independently and demonstrate a commitment to WHS in the workplace.
* Understanding of operational budget processes.
* Experience managing property-related contractors.
* Valid driver's license.
* Fire Safety Officer training (or willingness to undertake) – desirable.
* Experience in an Aged Care or Health Care environment.
