About the Role
The Renter Services Team is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of wayss owned housing and properties managed on behalf of other owners including Director of Housing, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, this position is responsible for the efficient and effective day to day delivery of property maintenance functions.
Duties include:
Primary service response via maintenance email/telephone service to residential property maintenance requests in accordance with Residential Tenancies Act and wayss policies/procedures.
Accurate recording of maintenance items and allocation of maintenance items to Housing Call Centre or designated wayss contractors.
Liaison with renters, renter service team members and other stakeholders on maintenance items to ensure accurate assessments, trades allocation and monitoring to completion occurs.
Accurate recording of maintenance items and required records within Chintaro.
Onsite inspections of critical maintenance items.
Support to team members in property attendance.
Practical assistance with minor maintenance and facility management tasks.
Contribution to continuous improvement.
About You
You will have:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role with an understanding of maintenance requirements for residential properties including the application of The Residential Tenancies Act.
Demonstrated experience liaising and engaging contractors.
An understanding of essential services and compliance requirements.
Ability to operate a maintenance call centre service function.
Well developed people skills with proven ability to relate positively to a broad range of people and provide a high level of customer service.
Demonstrated written, verbal, and organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and meet competing demands.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to improving service delivery and practice, and to work effectively in a team environment.
Intermediate computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new programs.
Working knowledge of Chintaro highly desirable.
This role requires a current Driver's Licence and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
The candidate will need to have successfully completed wayss' pre-employment screening and a police check.
