AUKUS Command also has strategic responsibility for delivery of protective security services to Defence establishments under the Defence MOU, with a significant focus on building and supporting a future-ready PSO workforce.
The role of Senior Team Member AUKUS Workforce Management supports the AFP in delivering Protective Service operational outcomes through effective workforce coordination and management.
The position is situated in Canberra ACT.The AUKUS Workforce Management Team operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, that delivers Workforce Planning and HR advice and guidance to support medium-long term planning for the AUKUS Command inclusive of the AFP Protective Service Officer workforce.As a Senior Team Member in the AFP, you will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments.It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.What will you do?The Band 6, Senior Team Member sits within the Coordinator AUKUS Strategy Coordination and Futures structure and supports the AUKUS Command Workforce Planning Team Leader to deliver accurate and timely reporting and advice in line with organisational requirements and emerging priorities.
This is achieved through extensive consultation and engagement with key internal stakeholders, including but not limited to AFP Strategic workforce planning, AFP Recruitment, Specialist Protective Command and Regional Commands.As a Senior team member in the AUKUS Command workforce management team, you will:Provide technical and strategic advice on a range of general and complex workforce planning issues to inform decision making on current and future resource planning.Apply analytical techniques to draw insights into complex business problems, with the ability to accurately identify and report meaningful trends, patterns and insights from dataProvide data-driven advice and workforce management strategies to support the current and future PSO workforce.Develop & maintain HR reports.Understand how corporate systems work to inform what data and HR metrics can be utilised.Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.Manage ad hoc HR projects and priorities as required.Provide strategic support to Team Leader AUKUS Workforce Planning and Coordinator AUKUS Strategy Coordination and Futures on priority matters.Experience utilising workforce planning trends and data to inform strategy, would be advantageous.Essential RequirementsNegative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.Proven ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Ability to plan, drive and deliver on multiple concurrent projects.Conceptual and analytical skills.High degree of proficiency in Excel.Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated attention to detailDesirable RequirementsThe following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:Experience in SAP Production, SAS Firefly or other Workforce management and data analytic reporting software.In-depth knowledge of AFP governance including entitlements under the AFP Enterprise Agreement and relevant workforce Determinations.Ability to adapt priorities and respond to urgent and ad-hoc requests.Selection CriteriaAchieve resultsCommunicates with influenceContributes to strategic thinkingCultivates productive working relationshipsShows personal drive and integrityTechnical knowledge and skillsApplicationPlease submit the following documents via our Jobs portal prior to the closing date and time:Resume/CV -This will form the basis for determining your suitability against the position requirements and give the panel a clear outline of your current knowledge and qualifications along with previous experiences.
