In this role, you will partner with Commodities and Global Markets teams to ensure effective Technology Risk management, aligned with Macquarie's Operational Risk Management Frameworks and associated policies.
You'll work collaboratively with the Technology team and senior business stakeholders to identify operational issues and control breakdowns and advise on proposed responses.
You will drive discussions around operational risk incident investigations to identify root causes, breakdowns in controls, and assess strategic solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
You will conduct controls assurance reviews, risk workshops, technology risk-related training, and participate in other ad hoc risk discussions as required.
You will also support tactical and strategic risk initiatives to meet business and operational demands through thoughtful partnership.
Thinking outside the box, you will use data analytics and process mining tools to automate control testing.
Your proactive approach will help drive a strong risk culture and a clear understanding of the risk framework within the team.
To succeed, you need previous experience with operational risk management, assurance experience, or data analytics.
Experience in process automation, coding, or analytics is beneficial, particularly with Alteryx / Power BI or SQL.
Able to effectively challenge the business while working with a broad range of stakeholders across global regions.
You must have strong analytical and communication skills, along with a practical understanding of risk and control frameworks in regulated contexts.
