ACCOUNTANT – Manufacturing - Bayswater, VIC Kogan People Solutions are delighted to be working with one of Australia’s leading manufacturers specialising in the innovative design and manufacture of elastomeric bearings and expansion joints, based in Bayswater, Victoria. Established many years ago, our client has been at the forefront of utilizing advanced polymer technologies to develop cost-effective solutions for modern bridge designs and their product range is tailored to accommodate different movement capacities. With in-house engineering and manufacturing capabilities, our client delivers effective, innovative, and cost-efficient outcomes within the industry and they are now seeking an experienced Accountant to join their busy team. This role is full-time and ongoing. As their new Accountant your responsibilities will include – Working with senior members of the organisation, Investigating and preparing financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and aiding in asset management. Investigating and preparation of the monthly management reporting pack by preparing monthly management reports such as freight, travel, marketing, and stock reports. Formulating budgetary and accounting policies. Ensure the continued appropriateness of internal controls, policies and procedures and regulatory compliance. Review and update accounting manual procedures accordingly. Development of systems & resources to streamline and automate processes and procedures of the business. Ensure ongoing accuracy and preparation of the bank reconciliation process. Preparing regulatory returns such as the monthly Business Activity Report, Fringe Benefit Tax return. Overseeing all accounting ledger and reconciliations take place in a systemic and auditable way. Ad hoc or special projects requested by management. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications: At least 1 to 2 years’ professional (post training) experience as an Accountant. Highly relevant tertiary qualifications. Progress towards, or demonstrated interest in, professional accounting qualifications. Proficient in contemporary accounting systems and the main office software suites. Up-to-date knowledge about Australian taxation law and financial reporting requirements. Attention to detail. Good time management and communication skills. Systematic and critical thinking skills. You must have unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia. Interested?
