These are full-time, permanent positions, based in Sale, Victoria.About us:With an extensive footprint on contract work and clients extending from Mallacoota to east Melbourne for over 40 years, Tequa is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Machine Operators / Labourers to join our growing Civil Construction team, to help deliver upon all Company projects, operations, and planned works in a professional and timely manner. There are several opportunities available within the team with opportunities to be trained in the power industry.About the Roles:We are looking to grow our team, if you have experience in hydroexcavation, machine operating, sewer and water, civil electrical infrastructure you are encouraged to apply.Works will include operating company plant, machinery, and equipment, as well as undertaking manual labouring tasks as required in the completion of company projects, operations, and planned work.Key Responsibilities:Deliver civil work and projects in a timely manner, considering occupational health and safety, environmental and cost-efficient processes.Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers to meet customer expectations.Operate various Company vehicles, hydro excavation trucks, trucks, machinery, plant, and equipment within your skill level and license qualifications.Be proactive and demonstrate great communication skills.Work effectively within a team environment and contribute to team outcomes.About you:What’s desirable in the role; but all ranges of qualification and experience are encouraged to apply:Construction Induction CardQualifications and experience in operating plant and machinery.HR Truck license (desirable, though not essential)Knowledge and experience in the civil/construction industry.VESI Training (desirable, though not essential)Excavator license (desirable, though not essential)Excellent communication and customer service skills – the ability to effectively listen and convey information to varying audiences (customers, co-workers, managers, etc.).Accountability to meet project objectives and constraints (get the job done), considering Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and cost-efficient processes to meet Company requirements.A flexible and adaptable approach to delivering workarounds and problem-solving solutions on the job.A positive and proactive ‘can do' attitude.Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.The ability to get involved, whilst also contributing to a dynamic team environment.Please note we provide extensive training to staff for ongoing development, if you don't meet any or all of the above criteria, we would still like to hear from keen applicants interested in a Civil Traineeship.Who Should Apply:If you have experience or interest in working outdoors with large plant and equipment or have experience in the following, we also have other roles available:Directional drillingNDD or Vacuum Excavator drivers or operatorsTruck DrivingExcavator operatingConstruction site worksShortlisting will commence immediately - submit your application today!
