Proudly providing safe and reliable water to customers in Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa, we are a water utility serving one of the fastest growing regions in the country.We think a pretty good job starts here.........About the role: Reporting to the Strategic Asset Manager, the Asset Management Engineer plays a crucial role in developing comprehensive asset management plans, conducting analytical work to formulate asset management strategies, and maintaining the asset management framework. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Assist in the preparation and implementation of detailed asset management plans to ensure optimal performance of water and wastewater systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights for plan development. Perform data analysis to support decision making in asset management strategies and utilise statistical and modelling tools to predict asset performance and lifecycle cost. Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the asset management framework in alignment with ISO 55000 standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practice. Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback for asset management initiatives; and communicate findings and recommendations. Assist in developing and maintaining KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of asset management strategies and identify areas for improvement. About you: To contribute to Unitywater's values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role: Demonstrated experience in asset management, ideally within the water and wastewater industry. Degree in Engineering and hold or be working towards RPEQ. Proactiveness with strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of the asset management principles. Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with well-developed investigative and research skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to draft correspondence, reports, and procedures. Familiarity with ISO 55000 standards is desirable.
