Ongoing Section 26 Transfer for APS Employees Only $122,535 - $134,805 plus 15.4% superannuation Albury, Canberra, Goondiwindi, Griffith, Mildura, Murray Bridge Expressions of Interest - Commonwealth Government Employees Only (APS)The position:The Assistant Director Trade and Capacity role works with an interdisciplinary team to drive the continuous improvement of the operation of the River Murray system in regards to interstate water Trade and works with States on Shortfall and Capacity issues in the Murray.The role supports a range of activities including policy development and planning, data and option analysis and a strong emphasis on leading and influencing through stakeholder engagement.
The role works closely with the Capacity Policy Working Group, River Murray Operations and Environmental water delivery functions and state and commonwealth water agencies.
Your key responsibilities in this role are to:Leading the development and progression of policy options through the Capacity Policy Working Group which is made up of joint Government representatives and associated secretarial duties.Investigating and assessing options for reinstating water delivery capacity in the River Murray system.Contributing to the teams other functions in both the Shortfall and Capacity and water trade space including to deliver the teams outputs in a coordinated and outcome focused way.Assessing operational decision making and improving long term options for operations including the production of reports.Assisting and mentoring other team members to bring out the teams best.Reviewing the Basin Plan regarding its potential impacts on and interaction with the operation of the River Murray System.Implementing and improving River Murray system water trade policy.Working closely with state water management agencies and other stakeholders regarding the operation of the River Murray system.Assisting the River Murray Operations branch in delivering its key actions and deliverables.This role works closely with other parts of the River Management Portfolio and the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, Australian Government and Basin State water management agencies and wider stakeholders.Tell me more:It is easy to apply for a job at the MDBA.
