The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Procurement Category Specialist to be responsible for supporting the Business with the efficient delivery of effective procurement, logistics, contract management, and fleet activities for external goods & services. This is a key role within the Strategic Procurement Team supporting strategic procurement business partners and Commerical Managers with the delivery of commercial activities such as market engagements, development of category plans and business cases, performance management of suppliers, and opportunities for innovation. Key focuses include: •Diagnose business needs, and, design, develop and execute effective •Opportunity assessments/sourcing strategies/business cases – development and gathering of data reporting sources •Gather key data for negotiations with suppliers •Category management •Demand management •Supplier management •Conduct reviews and contract preparations The Successful Candidate This role will appeal to someone who may have some experience in a procurement function and is now looking to take a step up.
