Overview
A progressive Financial Services organisation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Line 1 IT Risk, Compliance, and Governance Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all risk and compliance activities related to the IT department.
Responsibilities:
4. Oversee risk incidents and manage the risk register for IT.
5. Facilitate risk workshops to identify key risks and help IT manage risks effectively.
6. Ensure compliance with all IT regulations and provide advice to the team.
7. Establish and monitor controls for the IT team.
8. Report on risk and compliance activities to the internal technology committee and board committee.
9. Work closely with IT stakeholders, the 2nd line team, and the CIO to address any issues related to risk and compliance.
10. Continuously improve processes and controls.
11. Manage issues related to IT projects and identify controls using data to test and improve them.
Requirements:
12. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferable but not mandatory.
13. At least 2 years of experience in IT Risk/IT audit ideally within a Professional Services or Financial Services organisation.
14. Strong understanding of Australian IT regulations and compliance requirements.
15. Experience with establishing and monitoring controls.
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with IT stakeholders, the 2nd line team, and the CIO.
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
