About the role and team
We have a new opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our Statutory insurance NSW/ACT - CTP team based in our Sydney office.
This is a great role for someone starting their legal career.
You will be responsible for:
* general file maintenance including regular filing, opening and closing files;
* telephone handing for the team including answering all incoming calls;
* drafting of court documents and compiling of briefs;
* coordinating all outgoing mail to be signed, compiled and delivered;
* providing support to other legal assistants;
* maintaining Partners/lawyers’ contacts in our firm CRM InterAction, including assisting with list management on their behalf for events and communications; and
* other administration duties as required.
About you
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
* experience in administration or a similar role is desirable;
* highly organised;
* strong attention to detail;
* excellent communication skills;
* ability to prioritise and perform to deadlines;
* reliable, punctual, flexible and able to demonstrate initiative when providing support to fee earners.
* experience in using legal billing system and client management program (eg. Aderant would be desirable but not required); and
* experience in using document management system (eg iManage10 would be desirable but not required).
