Job description: Key duties and responsibilities:
* Develop, implement and communicate mine plans and schedules ensuring safety and production outcomes are met.
* Prepare weekly and end of month reports
* Liaise with the Project Manager, design team, operations, EPCM service providers & contractors to coordinate resources and communicate requirements
* Cost Estimation and cost control
* ‘In field’ verification of progress and quality control of the works
* Ensure integration of environmental factors into mine design and planning processes.
* Develop and implement environmental management strategies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Drive continuous improvement of rehabilitation earthworks to meet business objectives and rehabilitation completion criteria
* Monitor environmental performance, including air quality, water management, and land rehabilitation.
* Implement carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and waste minimization strategies.
Required Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Civil or Mining
* Experienced Project Engineer with 5-7 years exp
* Ideally with design and execution experience within Mining Construction or Mining Operations
* Rehabilitation experience would be highly valued
* Strong communication skills.
