About the job Sous Chef - Move to AustraliaSous Chef - Move to Melbourne or SydneyAs an agency, we collaborate with some of Australia's leading restaurants, and as the hospitality industry is booming, our clients are in need of Sous Chef to join them.Our clients are based in Melbourne and Sydney and range from high-end brasseries, fine dining restaurants with 1 and 2 chef's hats, sophisticated Japanese, eclectic Asian to luxe steakhouses, offering something for everyone.Responsibilities:Oversee and ensure the superior quality and presentation of food.Support various kitchen sections during peak times.Aid in managing kitchen finances and operational efficiency.Collaborate in staff scheduling and timesheet management.Ensure kitchen readiness for service and supervise the team for consistent excellence.Oversee inventory and staff training and development.Qualifications:Proven experience in upscale dining environments.Minimum 3 years as a Sous Chef level or above.Background with busy kitchens doing in excess of 300 covers per service.Ideally, you will have international experience and worked in leading culinary destinations such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Dubai, etc.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere.Strong leadership with a knack for developing talent.Skilled in administrative duties, including rostering and basic finance.Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities.Flexibility and a problem-solving approach, with availability for varied schedules.Our clients offer competitive remuneration, sponsorship which will lead to Australian PR, opportunities for career advancement, and a vibrant working environment.
