Productivity has many shapes, sizes, and schedulesAbout the roleBased in Geelong or Ballarat, this role will involve taking responsibility for various hydraulic engineering services across a variety of sectors including health, education, commercial, urban, civic, and recreational. The role will include:
Providing technical solutions and development of engineering technical design documentation inclusive of drawings, specifications, and reports
Providing technical leadership to the hydraulic engineering services team members
Development of business in the regions we operate
Providing Hydraulics engineering support to our NT, QLD, VIC, and WA offices
Providing mentoring to our junior team members
Being an innovative systems thinker and contributing to development and improvement project delivery quality and processes
This position will form an integral part of our engineering team and the future growth of our national business. About youThe following attributes are essential for this role:
5+ years’ experience in hydraulic and fire protection building services engineering
Strong understanding of Australian Standards and NCC
Strong experience in the technical design of building services
Strong experience in preparation of design, specifications, reports, calculations, drawings, cost estimation and details/schedules for projects.
Strong experience with hydraulic design tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a broader national team
Ability to engage and communicate and collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and other building services professionals to integrate hydraulic systems into overall building designs
Ability to be mobile and work short term in remote and regional locations
A drive to contribute ideas and improve engineering services processes and systems
A common-sense approach to dealing with technical and relationship challenges
High-level of verbal and written communication skills
The ability to self-motivate and motivate others
Desire to be part of our hard-working team
The following skills attributes will be highly regarded:
RPEQ, CPEng or other similar qualification
Strong wet fire sprinkler design experience
State based engineering registration
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP
