Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic State Lead to oversee their Queensland operations. This role involves managing a team across multiple sectors, including public and private construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction consultancy, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing successful teams. They will also have existing relationships and a strong network within QLD and capable of bringing along work. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professionals across various sectors, ensuring high performance and continuous development. Project Management: Oversee and coordinate public and private construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored consultancy services. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the business in Queensland, identifying new opportunities and optimizing existing operations. Financial Management: Monitor budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to ensure the profitability and efficiency of projects. Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, team performance, and market trends. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction consultancy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Ideally have worked across build, fit-out, refurbishments, Capex and new build construction projects. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of public and private construction projects. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.
