We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our Dams and Tailings Group. To support strong forward workload, we have a great opportunity for a Project Manager to provide project and technical management support and coordination for development and delivery of projects as part of the Dams & Tailings team. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge, project management skills, portfolio management and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. GHD is proud to have one of Australia’s largest Dams and Tailings design practices, providing high value services in the water, mining, power, industrial and agricultural sectors in Western Australia and around the world. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Managing a portfolio of medium to large sized tailings and water dam studies and projects for mid-tier miners. Assisting the Technical Director with Project Management functions across HSE, scope, cost, schedule, and risk management. Communicating project updates, milestones, and challenges to internal and external partners, ensuring visibility and maintaining positive relationships. Preparing detailed project plans, designs, and specifications, adhering to industry standards and regulations. Coordinating and compiling technical reports for clients, following both client and GHD guidelines. Contributing to making technical decisions and solutions. Performing site inspections and preparing site surveillance reports, as required. Undertaking design, documentation, and construction support work on engineering projects through all project phases. Assessing project risks and understand associated contingencies. What you will bring to the team: Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., bachelor’s degree qualifications in Geotechnical or Civil engineering preferred). 5 years’ relevant experience with knowledge in a project management or consulting environment. Tried experience in civil engineering projects (dams or tailings background preferred but not essential). Excellent project management skills, with the ability to run numerous projects simultaneously. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships; you demonstrate trust by bringing the best of self, valuing others contributions, and engendering confidence and trust with others.
