About the Role
The role involves working on documents across a wide range of subject areas, including editing, revising, converting and formatting written material to improve readability for publication in various formats such as XML, PDF and HTML.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure that content is in line with Standards Australia's guides, procedures and house style, and that the structure, content, and language of the document are appropriate and meet customer needs.
* Check for accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation, ensuring internal consistency of content and format, and accurate referencing and cross-referencing.
* Work with publishing tools such as eXtyles and MathType to prepare drafts of technical publications suitable for Committee member drafting and review.
* Proofread and quality check work against source documents in all customer formats, identify deviations, and make relevant corrections.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A university degree or other relevant qualification, in an appropriate field.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in technical editing.
* An excellent command of written and spoken English.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Word features, especially styles, templates and Equation Editor.
