About the Opportunity
We are building a brand-new glass manufacturing and remanufacturing facility in Yatala between Brisbane and Gold Coast.
The factory represents a significant investment, recycling up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland's glass annually to produce 1 billion bottles a year.
Reporting to the Instrumentation & Control Lead Engineer, you will facilitate the detail design, implementation and development phase works associated with construction of the plant Instrumentation, Control and Industrial Information Technology Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide oversight, guidance and supervision of the installation and commissioning process related to Instrumentation, Control and IT Engineering aspects.
* Manage Control system functional design and specification (including industrial networks, automation equipment, instrumentation and control devices)
* Design and modify control system network architecture drawings.
* Perform check and balances against mechanical or civil infrastructure allocated to support the instrumentation, electrical and control system design.
* Identify risks related to the IC&E equipment. Support risk assessment and closure by implementing rectification plans.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Senior experience in instrumentation, controls & electrical engineering (i.e. building industrial control systems using PLC's and SCADA Software Systems).
* Proven Control and Instrumentation System, LV Electrical, and/or Communications Cabling Design Experience.
* Good knowledge of current industry norms Australian Standards and study criteria pertinent to instrumentation and control systems engineering ensuring compliance of design work with all relevant engineering standards.
* Outstanding stakeholder and contractor engagement skills, along with the ability to work in well within a multi discipline engineering team.
Desirable Qualifications:
* CPEng or RPEQ Certification.
Advantageous Experience:
* Machinery or Process Functional Safety Experience.
