About the Role As the Information Management and Records Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of developing smart, strategic frameworks to manage information assets and ensure everything is compliant with government standards. With a mix of office days and remote work, you'll have the flexibility to work across various locations including Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney. What You'll Be Doing Lead & Innovate: Develop and roll out a forward-thinking information and records management strategy that supports the division's goals. Advise & Support: Be the go-to expert, offering advice and support on best practices for managing digital and physical information systems. Train & Empower: Help staff get the best out of the division's Electronic Document & Records Management System (EDRMS) through training and guidance. Collaborate & Coordinate: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance and introduce new ways of handling records. Manage & Maintain: Take charge of the technical side of information management, including data migration, classification, retention, and disposal of records. Who We're Looking For: Essential Criteria Qualifications & Experience: Relevant qualifications and solid experience in information, records, or knowledge management. Knowledge & Insight: Strong understanding of government recordkeeping rules and frameworks, including the National Archives Act and the Australian Government Records Interoperability Framework. Tech Savvy: Hands-on experience with EDRMS or similar systems; familiarity with Content Manager 10 and Microsoft 365 is a huge plus. Leadership & Initiative: Proven ability to lead projects and manage information management initiatives. Policy Development Skills: Confident in creating and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines to match industry best practices. Additional Requirements Security Clearance: Candidates must hold a current NV1 security clearance. Citizenship: Australian citizenship is required.
