About the Role
Based in our Mackay branch, you will be working as part of a small, but high performing team. You will be able to build your career in an expanding industry and gain sought after and highly valued skills in designing, manufacturing, and commissioning of hydraulic systems and related structures.
This is a newly created role where you assist the team to design solutions that meet our customers' requirements and exceed their expectations.
Responsibilities
You will be involved in performing the following tasks:
* Developing concepts of practical solutions for engineering problems,
* 3D modelling of purpose-made machines with fully integrated systems involving hydraulics, pneumatics, automation and structural engineering,
* 3D scanning for reverse engineering,
* Developing hydraulic schematics and running simulations,
* Performing calculations, engineering analysis, and product selection,
* Providing technical support to clients as well as the Sales, Service and Production teams,
* Commissioning and troubleshooting of existing and new machinery and systems, locally and interstate,
* Documenting designs and writing reports, procedures, instructions and operation manuals,
* Conducting hazard risk assessments and root cause failure analysis.
Examples of Work
Examples of the types of work you will be involved in include:
* Designing hydraulic power units: components selection, frames, general assembly, detailing,
* Project management,
* Calculation of performance parameters,
* Drafting of hydraulic schematics and performing flow simulations,
* Writing test and commissioning instructions.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have an inventive mind and interest in hydraulics and designing associated structures.
Qualifications
Additionally, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering,
* Working knowledge and experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Inventor, including FEA modules,
* Exceptional work ethics and the ability to work to organisational values.
