Your impact and responsibilities:
Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new and exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Key Account Manager. Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, and in a critical role within Sales and Marketing team, you will be responsible driving finance sales by cultivating strong relationships with dealers and customers, effectively promoting the DTFS fleet value proposition, and proactively managing customer needs to maximize financial opportunities and profitability.
You will be able to identify and capitalize on fleet finance opportunities, aligning with internal and external stakeholders, and optimizing finance sales and interest margins while maintaining sound credit risk management.
Reporting into the Head of Marketing and Sales, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Proactive Opportunity Generation: Leverage DTFS CMS data, dealer networks, and Daimler Truck sales channels to identify and qualify high-potential fleet opportunities.
2. Strategic Analysis & Proposals: Conduct in-depth analysis of customer needs and develop tailored fleet finance solutions, including compelling proposals and action plans.
3. Quotation Management: Efficiently manage the quotation process, utilizing internal pricing tools and ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries.
4. Strategic Relationship Building: Cultivate and expand relationships with existing and prospective fleet customers through proactive engagement and strategic account planning.
5. Internal & Partner Collaboration: Coach and build strong relationships with internal colleagues, Daimler Truck sales teams, business managers, and dealer personnel.
6. Revenue Growth & Product Penetration: Drive revenue growth by upselling finance and fleet services to existing customers and increasing product matrix penetration.
7. Industry Representation: Represent DTFS at industry conferences and expos, enhancing brand visibility and generating leads.
8. Tender & Strategic Sales Support: Provide timely tender responses and collaborate with brand partners on strategic customer sales initiatives.
9. Complex Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments of complex economic data for customer evaluations and reviews.
10. Credit Approval Management: Manage the credit approval process, leveraging internal networks to ensure timely and accurate decisions.
11. Quotation & Financial Resolution: Manage the quotation process when needed, and assist in resolving outstanding debts and delinquencies.
12. Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for fleet customer decision-makers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
13. Team Contribution: Act as a key member of the Sales team, contributing to team goals and objectives.
14. Lead Generation & Prospecting: Collaborate with dealers and brand sales representatives to identify and qualify leads.
15. Strategic Sales Development: Contribute to the development of strategic sales approaches and new initiatives to enhance solution offerings.
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to think strategically from concept to execution. Experience in fleet management, automotive, or financial services is a plus, along with the ability to handle large data sets and deliver insights. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles, be able to work both independently and in teams, and have a strong interest in the evolving automotive financial services market. As you will manage a specific region, some interstate travel will be necessary to ensure continued growth and sustained customer satisfaction.
