Working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, the Chief Practitioner will collaborate to deliver contemporary and ethical practice and provide insights and evidence to operational and program areas to drive system reform and practice changes.You will bring strong clinical practice and strategic leadership to enable an integrated approach to developing and leading practice and strengthening workforce capability and wellbeing. As a principal clinical advisor and influential, collaborative leader, the successful candidate will lead a team to partner across community services (including funded agencies). It will also be integral to demonstrate a commitment to cultural competence and in partnership with the Executive Director, Aboriginal Policy and Services ensure First Nations self-determination is at the core of practice and improves the rate of First Nations over representation within the child protection system.To be successful in this role, you will possess specialist practice knowledge of an area relevant to Child Protection, disability service, health, and/or clients with complex needs. With a strong understanding of the challenges and issues facing the system, as well as significant professional knowledge of Human Services practice and relevant legislation and policy, you will have the opportunity to be a thought leader in this space, supporting and improving practice leadership to contribute to improvement of the service.Previous experience leading change initiatives, building collaborative partnerships, and risk management will be key to the success of this role.
