Your New Role We have a great opportunity for a Solicitor with 1-2 years’ post admission experience to join our Brisbane Property team on a permanent full-time basis. You will be part of a dynamic team, working alongside experienced Principals, Senior Associates, and support staff. You will be responsible for assisting with a range of residential and commercial property acquisitions, disposals and developments, as well as commercial leasing matters. This role is ideal for a solicitor looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-moving environment with a down-to-earth and collaborative culture. You will have support from the Principals and your colleagues to refine your skills and to ensure your continued success, as well as support from the firm to invest in your ongoing learning and development. The key responsibilities of this role will include: Assisting with the management of a portfolio of commercial and residential property matters from start to finish. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents (including land sale contracts for both established and off-the-plan properties, put and call option deeds, special conditions, leases and easements) and correspondence. Working with clients, Principals, and other team members to develop and implement effective strategies to resolve matters effectively. Assisting in firm marketing activities as needed. Role Requirements and Your Experience The successful applicant could possess the following: 1-2 years’ post admission experience, predominantly in a real property practice. Experience in conveyancing, leasing and body corporate held in high regard. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. A high level of attention to detail and commitment to technical excellence. High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new tasks quickly. Strong time management and organisational skills, together with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities. Ability and willingness to develop your own network and actively participate in marketing and business development activities.
