About this role The Enviromental Service Worker is responsible for duties in the kitchen and dining room, and from time to time may be required to assist in laundry and cleaning duties. This role is a small, friendly, enthusiastic team that supports one another, you will be assisting in the preparation of serving high-quality food to our residents. The days required are the mornings of Thursday -Sunday, on a minimum of 24 hours per fortnight roster. In this varied role, your day-to-day responsibilities could include: Assisting in the preparation of meals to residents both in the dining room and tray service to their rooms; Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room and equipment throughout the shift; Setting up and cleaning the dining room before and after serving foods; Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation. Cover staff leave and available short notice Cooking experience or willing to step up highly desirable Customer focus About You You are a committed, flexible, and adaptable worker who is committed to providing excellent customer service and high-quality meals to our residents. You are someone who is passionate about cooking and working within a kitchen. You will understand the importance of keeping a clean workspace in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be interested in training to relieve regular cooks when required. Ideally you will have: Experience working within a kitchen and serving of meals; Experience working within the Aged Care industry (desirable); Experience in a cleaning role (desirable).
