The Pa RK mental health service is a vibrant and progressive organization whose mission is to provide safe and progressive patient care within a positive work environment and culture. Currently we are seeking Consultant Psychiatrists for various appointments. This includes Sessional, Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. The Pa RK MHS Consultant Psychiatrist is responsible for the mental health assessment, treatment and management of patients with mental health illness in the Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana catchment area. This includes the provision of service to their families and carers. You will work as a clinician within a multidisciplinary team environment and work closely with other agencies to promote close community partnerships. The Consultant Psychiatrist leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist mental health services to patients. In this role, you will promote patient safety and quality of care. You will provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for Doctors in Training, medical officers and other health workers. In collaboration with the Director/Head of Department and other Consultants, this position works to achieve national, state and South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) performance standards and targets.
