The Position: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, competent, and contemporary clinical nursing care to residents within the scope of practice as determined by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Essential:
1. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Knowledge of the Residential Classification Scale and Standards for Aged Care.
3. Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of the standards required by the government for the delivery of aged care.
2. An understanding of the Commonwealth Aged Care Funding Instrument.
3. Strong clinical and documentation skills.
4. An understanding of the aged care accreditation process.
