As the Store Manager at one of Australia's leading Equestrian and Saddlery stores, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the daily operations of a shop lying at the heart of Canberra's equestrian community. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual with a deep understanding of the equestrian industry, close ties within the community, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in retail management. Be the local expert in saddlery, rider gear, care accessories, horse feed and health, farrier equipment, and stable necessities!Your main customer base will be from the likes of pony clubs, dressage, cross-country riding, and show jumping. Your responsibilities as Store Manager:
1. Team Leadership: Supervise a team of dedicated sales associates, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
2. Customer Service: Ensure an exceptional customer experience by maintaining high standards of service, addressing customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Implement strategies to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.
3. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control and stock replenishment processes, whilst implementing efficient merchandising strategies to maximise sales. Monitor product trends and ensure the store remains well-stocked with popular and seasonal items.
4. Sales and Performance: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Analyse sales data alongside head office and identify opportunities for growth.
5. Operational Excellence: Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing store environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, managing day-to-day store operations efficiently.
What we’re looking for:
6. Proven retail management experience, preferably in the equestrian industry.
7. Strong knowledge of equestrian products and equipment.
8. Involvement in the local equestrian community.
9. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
