About the role:
The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats within the organisation. This role will involve identifying vulnerabilities, implementing protective measures, and working closely with other teams to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the organisation's digital assets. The Cyber Security Analyst will support the IT Security Manager and CISO in ensuring compliance with ISO27001 and other relevant cyber security frameworks and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity practices, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage and mitigate risks.
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will:
1. Monitor security systems for suspicious activity and analyze security alerts to determine the necessary response.
2. In collaboration with the IT Security Manager, investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
3. Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations for resolution.
4. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in network and application systems.
5. Coordinate and conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and security audits.
6. Support the IT operations team in implementing security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.
7. Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards.
8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, Right fit for Risk).
9. Support in evidence collation and demonstration of compliance for third party audits across the group.
10. Work closely with IT teams to enhance security in software, network infrastructure, and cloud environments.
11. Collaborate with external stakeholders, including law enforcement, to respond to incidents.

1. Always protect information relating to customers, employees, and our business. This includes complying with the IT Acceptable Use Policy and any other related IT, records or information security policies or directions.
2. Practice good digital security by reporting information and/or cyber security incidents, protecting physical equipment and handling information according to its classification.
About you:
We are seeking a driven individual with the following background:
1. 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
2. Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption technologies.
3. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and cybersecurity frameworks.
6. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple incidents simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
8. Willingness to be part of an on-call for incident response.
9. Strong ethical judgment and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
10. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
11. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar are preferred.
