Role description:
Based in Melbourne, we have an exciting opportunity for a Asset Management Lead – Rail to join our Rail Management Team to help deliver our Australian asset management strategy, lead a range of asset management consultancy projects and help develop value propositions in our rail markets. You will also provide support to the wider asset management consulting and advisory business.
You will be a key member of the team, reporting to the Victorian Rail State Manager / National Rail Manager, and play a vital role in growing the business and creating opportunity. This is a newly established team, pulling together our already strong capability in asset management into a unified offering to spearhead initially in the rail sector but with an opportunity to work across other assets including highways, structures and ports. There will be opportunities for growth and career development for individuals with a growth mind set, and as the team develops, you may manage other staff, acting as a technical subject matter expert in asset management.
Role accountabilities:
* Delivering asset management services for clients owning major rail, road and maritime infrastructure assets; Assessing and evaluating clients’ asset management strategies and practices
* Developing asset management strategies and options for clients e.g. for service life extension or replacement, including whole of life cost and value analysis, and converting the options into detailed solutions and deliverables for consideration by our clients
* Providing training and support to staff on asset management best practices
* Collaborating with other departments to align asset management goals with organisational objectives
* Ensuring compliance with asset management standards and regulations
* And other accountabilities as agreed with your manager
Qualifications & Experience:
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life, community safety and accelerating a planet positive future. You pride yourself for the part you play in shaping the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are an experienced asset
management professional with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in engineering and/or asset management with tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
* A skilled Asset Management professional with Rail industry experience
* Accredited in your field of practice
* Good understanding of risk management (e.g FMECA, Bow Tie, Fishbone)
* Excellent report writing skills with experience in delivering asset management reports for major government and private infrastructure asset owners and operators
* Excellent verbal communications skills with the ability to present concepts to various stakeholders, as well as the ability to influence the direction of asset management discussionsExperience of using or developing decision support tools to guide asset management decisions
* Extensive professional services experience on projects of significant scale and / or complexity demonstrating technical, commercial and delivery acumen
* Recognised leader in specialist discipline with the ability to influence at peer levels with well-established industry networks
