Rehabilitation Consultant (OT, EP, Physio, Osteo and RN)

The role
We are looking for Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Osteopaths and Registered Nurses to join our team to work in the role of Rehabilitation Consultant. This opportunity is open to new graduates and experienced Allied Health professionals.
Working full-time or part-time, you will use your clinical expertise and skills to guide and manage your client’s journey as they return to life after a workplace injury. You will influence your clients to achieve the results that they’ve identified through a holistic approach to the rehabilitation journey.
In this role:
1. You will be supporting a diverse range of clients to achieve personal and return to life goals within Darwin and surrounding remote communities.
2. Conducting worksite assessments to interpret the physical demands and environment clients may work in to achieve their short-term and long-term return-to-work goals.
3. Collaborating with other health practitioners (including other Allied Health professionals, GPs, and Surgeons) through case conferencing.
4. Coordinating necessary treatment activities for your client including Pilates, Hydrotherapy, etc.
5. Reviewing and understanding medical reports e.g. MRIs, X-Rays, etc.
6. Completing assessments including functional capacity evaluations and ergonomic assessments.
7. Activities of Daily Living assessments for equipment or household services prescription (OT only).
8. Providing support to clients for work-related and non-work-related injuries support to local employers and Government organizations.
9. Using award-winning psychosocial risk screening tools to support identification of psychological risk factors and support improved client health outcomes.

What’s required:
1. Eligibility for registration with APHRA.
2. A current, or ability to hold a Working with Children Check.
3. To undergo background checks such as National Police Check and right to work.
