Actuarial Consulting Intern
What can you expect?
An actuarial consulting internship with Mercer Investments gives you the opportunity to spend eight weeks immersed in actuarial consulting work, learning consulting tools and techniques, assisting with client work, and engaging in thought leadership projects with some of the best consultants in the industry.
The paid internship runs between 25 November 2024 and 24 January 2025, with the possibility for future opportunities as a Graduate Analyst, which provides a great starting point for a career as an actuarial consultant!
You will be a key team member:
The consulting business within Mercer Investments provides investment and actuarial advice and solutions to some of the world's largest super funds, insurers, not-for-profits, family offices and other asset owners. What will you gain?
1. Learning new tools and techniques to generate insights.
2. Supporting client teams on reporting and deliverables during the calendar year-end period.
3. Engaging in a team research project on a relevant topic with a team presentation of results.
What you need to have:
4. An interest in actuarial science, and/or the superannuation and insurance industries.
5. In your penultimate year of a relevant undergraduate degree, with a view to developing a career as a consultant.
6. Strong analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills.
7. Self-motivated team player.
8. Strong sense of ownership, paying attention to detail, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
9. Strong written and oralmunication skills in English and ability to present confidently.
