About the Role
Due to our company's continued growth, we are currently recruiting Disability Support Workers to join our team. While we have successfully hired many qualified individuals, we are looking to fill additional hours and are seeking dedicated professionals to support our participants.
Disability Support Workers play a vital role in delivering crucial services to individuals funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), ultimately enhancing the quality of life for those with disabilities.
Candidates must possess the ability to engage with complex participants exhibiting behaviours of concern. At this time, only individuals with relevant experience will be considered.
As a Disability Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary based on the specific needs of the participants but may include the following tasks:
* Assistance with Daily Life

* Domestic activities including cleaning services

Essential Skills
* Qualifications and Education Requirements:
o Certificate III Individual support; or alike
o EN/RN training/certificates
* Experience supporting a person/s impacted by mental health disorders or disability
* Knowledge/Life experience of chronic mental Illness and its challenges
* Physically capable to attend personal care to participants as required
* Interpersonal skills
* Adaptability
* Problem-solving
* Able to adapt with changing roster and participants
* Able to remain calm in a high-pressure situation
* Computer and English literacy
* Can-do attitude
* Willingness to learn

Requirements
* Current valid Driver’s Licence
* Current NDIS Screening Check
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current First-Aid and CPR certificate
* Right to Work within Australia
* Current Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance and suitable safe vehicle for participant transportation whilst on shift
* Physically capable to attend personal care to participants as required
* Has afternoon/evening availability

* Active as well as inactive night (suited to people that study) shifts.
