18 12 12 month contract - July 2025 start $125 - $150 per hour (inc-Super) - market estimate NV1 security clearance minimum (NV2 / PV desired) ACT, QLD, VIC or WA address Our client, a large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on foreign signals intelligence, military operations, cyber warfare and information security, are Seeking the experience of multiple Network Engineer (s) for a long 181212 month contract, based in ACT, VIC, QLD or WA. Duties of the Network Engineer Accountable to contribute to the investigation, diagnosis and resolution of network problems and provide advice on preventative strategies. Responsible to ensure all requests for support are dealt with and manage any outstanding problems in accordance with organisation standards, policies and procedures. Use experience to design and implement network changes and maintenance routines. Monitor systems and infrastructure and provide assistance with sustainment support requests, fix and troubleshoot issues. Monitor and action security alerts and incidents. Maintain and upgrade device software and firmware versions and create, implement, and provide feedback on system designs. Implement new IT infrastructure. Use public/private cloud APIs to provision, scale and destroy infrastructure as required. Develop tools that allow automation systems to provision infrastructure without assistance. Create and maintain testable infrastructure, including racking, cabling and labelling of current and new infrastructure. Skills and Experience Required Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar. Understanding of protocols, architectures, devices, topologies and standards. Experience with network security including enterprise proxy and load balancing systems. Experience deploying network systems that form part of virtualisation solution (eg VMWare). General scripting and coding for automation of infrastructure. IT systems design, building testable & maintainable systems using continuous integration & deployment technologies.
