About the Role
You will be responsible for providing administration and communication support to the Operations Department to ensure its smooth and efficient operation.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
* Coordinate Import and Export Shipments (Warehouse arrivals, Unloads, Groupage departures, LCL Collections and Delivery Airfreight Collections and Delivery), as well as completing WA quarantine forms
* Schedule the daily movements of wharf and rail contractors
* Attending to operational enquiries over the phone
* Logistics and cost management of Domestic and International containers
* Manage container movements into and out of the branch
* Complete container audits to ensure compliance
* Provide administrative, operational and general assistance to the Operations Team where and when required
* Perform licence and vehicle compliance checks
* Ensure compliance with company policies and legislative requirements relative to the industry
About You
To be considered for this role you will have:
* Proven organisational and planning skills
* Exceptional communication skills to liaise with people at all levels of the business including sales, administration and operational teams (both internal and external) with confident verbal and written communication
* Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Outstanding customer service focus
* General freight, rail and wharf background preferable but not essential
