Chief Executive - South Australia - Arid Recovery - $140K Arid Recovery is seeking a Chief Executive to lead our organisation, managing staff and delivering conservation programs. About the Role The Chief Executive will be responsible for: Strategic Leadership: Providing vision and direction for Arid Recovery Safety and Facilities Management: Ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining infrastructure Science and Conservation Program Delivery: Overseeing scientific research and conservation programs Partnerships and Community Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with partners and stakeholders Governance: Reporting to the Board of Directors and taking advice from the Principal Scientist and Scientific Advisory Panel Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: A tertiary qualification in science or conservation management Experience in scientific research and collaboration, conservation land management, personnel management, and governance responsibilities Knowledge of conservation science, conservation land management, and operational management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build relationships with stakeholders Experience working with threatened species and Aboriginal communities Willingness to live in remote and regional communities About Us Arid Recovery is an independent not-for-profit research and conservation organisation dedicated to recovering, enhancing, and sustaining Australia's unique arid zone biodiversity. We are based out of Olympic Dam in northern South Australia, less than half an hour from Roxby Downs. Our 12,300 ha Arid Recovery Reserve is one of the largest fenced conservation reserves in Australia and home to a highly successful research program.
