For more information, please visit: About the Opportunity Aquatec Maxcon is seeking a full-time Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater to join its team in Ipswich, QLD, with flexible work-from-home options. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will involve the design, implementation, and optimisation of water and wastewater treatment solutions. The engineer will take projects from conceptual design through to on-site build and commissioning, a unique advantage compared to many client-side or consultancy roles. Key responsibilities include: Providing engineering support and design input from initial proposals to project delivery, focusing on water treatment plants Leveraging deep knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes to optimise system performance Conducting process and hydraulic design for treatment equipment and ensuring project feasibility Performing operational analysis to enhance safety, quality, and cost-efficiency in treatment plants Overseeing quality assurance, design engineering sign-offs, and performance testing during construction and commissioning phases Reviewing plant/process designs for final optimisation and improvements Participating actively in risk assessments, HAZOPs, and safety-in-design workshops Building and maintaining strong client relationships to facilitate ongoing business growth About You The successful candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in Chemical or Process Engineering and bring extensive experience in Australian process design engineering. RPEQ certification or progress towards it is desirable, along with the ability to travel to remote project sites for commissioning as needed. Highly valued skills and experience include: Strong expertise in water and wastewater treatment processes, including hydraulic design A proactive approach to safety and risk management, with experience in HAZOPs and safety reviews Previous involvement in water treatment projects, especially with government instrumentalities, is highly regarded Excellent relationship-building skills, contributing to business opportunities and successful project delivery The role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys seeing projects come to life from design to commissioning, with opportunities to work on state-of-the-art technologies and grow professionally within an innovative team.
