Security Training and Triage Team Member
The Security Triage and Training team is responsible for the central coordination of security prevention and assurance, including the management of security incident reporting and proactive security education and awareness training activities.
This role works collaboratively with the team to develop and deliver security-related educational material, security awareness induction training, and governance. The role also triages and evaluates SIRs and identifies trends that contribute to the development of security-related educational material.
In support of the AFP security framework, the Security Triage and Training team:
1. Promotes security awareness and sound security practices among AFP personnel;
2. Develops and delivers security awareness training aimed at the prevention and detection of security breaches;
3. Coordinates statistical reporting of security incidents, including analysis of key trends to influence change;
4. Develops and maintains governance including Commissioner's Orders and National Guidelines and processes to support a robust security culture;
5. Receives, assesses, and triages Security Incident Reports and other security reporting;
6. Promotes organisational compliance with the mandatory provisions of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF);
7. Manages and maintains security-based policy and AFP HUB information pages;
8. Develops and markets security awareness material based on gaps identified through security reporting;
9. Coordinates security advice through the Security hotline and the Security-Triage-and-Training team mailbox;
10. Develops key strategic documents for internal and external Executive committees and briefings.
You will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct, and the AFP Governance Instruments. A successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
Key Requirements
* Australian Citizenship;
* Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or ability to obtain one;
* High-level written and verbal communication skills.
