Come and be a part of this success. About the Role Mt Arthur Coal is an open-cut coal mine 100 per cent owned by BHP. Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook. Our operation is focused on maintaining absolute commitment to safety, achieving high performance, offering flexible work options and empowering our workforce to build meaningful careers. We are currently on the look-out for motivated and capable individuals to join the HSE team at New South Wales (NSW) Energy Coal as Level 1 Emergency Services Officers. No previous experience is required; training will be supplied to successful applicants. Reporting to the Security and Emergency Management Supervisor, these roles are vital in ensuring that all emergency response activities are performed in a safe, timely and efficient way. These are 12-month fixed term contract positions, working 12.5-hour shifts on a 5:4 day and night shift roster. Successful candidates will need to be based residentially, and the mine is located a convenient 10-minute drive from Muswellbrook. You will be required to: Respond to mine site emergencies Maintain operational emergency response equipment Maintain site security access systems, and complete daily front of house duties including drug and alcohol testing. Provide the highest possible standard of pre-hospital emergency care, adhering to treatment procedures, accurately completing documentation, and applying the correct operational procedure in response to the situation presented to them. Plan and deliver training sessions, knowledge sharing and scenario-based activities for ERT members and other staff. About You This role will suit a highly capable team player who is motivated to collaborate with site and HSE teams to ensure that everyone goes home safe every day, to do the things they love.
