They are also responsible for leading and motivating staff in the development and achievement of NM TAFE's operational security objectives.The role requires the ability to evaluate emerging cyber security threats and activities, translate in terms of risk and risk exposure to NM TAFE's assets and systems and manage the detection, identification, reporting and controlling of security incidents. The Manager IT Security and Risk develops, maintains, and guides security management frameworks and influences decisions on security objectives driving improvements to NM TAFE's Cyber security posture maximizing the efficacy of the TAFE's resilience against cyber security threats and digital data integrity, whilst actively supporting NM TAFE's strategic business functions and needs.To be successful in this roleYou will have experience in managing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity programs for a complex organization. You need to be proficient at risk assessments, threat analysis, and incident response. You must be experienced in using various security tools and technologies, security policies, conduct security audits and have a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards in the public sector.
