Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.ResponsibilitiesManaging the College’s Computer Faculty.Acting as the College’s systems analyst for Information Systems within the College.Under the auspices of the ICT Committee, manage the Computer Equipment Replacement and Computer Maintenance budgets.Liaising with DE on all ICT matters e.g. laptop rollovers, online exams and edumail.Representing the College in matters relating to computers and computer education.Membership of the ICT Committee with specific responsibility for organising meetings and agenda.Keeping abreast of current trends and recommending new directions where appropriate.Coordinating the use of computing equipment outside college hours.Acting as the College's systems analyst for administrative computing.Managing the College’s Internet Facilities.The purchase, security, and maintenance of records of all hardware/software.Advising the ICT Committee of sources of funds for equipment purchase.Initiating, assisting with, and helping coordinate, professional development and training for staff in the computing area.Implementing the eLearning Policy.Liaising with various College committees on relevant ICT matters.Assisting the Assistant Principal to further develop Staff ICT skills through Professional Development programs.Overseeing and implementing the ICT Policy and User Agreement as per DET published guidelines.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.EEO AND OHS CommitmentApplicants seeking part-time employment are encouraged to apply for any teaching service position and, if they are the successful candidate, request a reduced time fraction.
