UC High School Kaleen is seeking a strategic, innovative and relational leader with experience in the systematic stages of developing and nurturing a positive school culture during times of change. The successful applicant will lead staff in Professional Learning Communities resulting in positive outcomes for students along with an increase in staff efficacy, confidence and retention. The successful applicant will work with the Principal, leadership team and school captains through cycles of inquiry to achieve expected growth of the goals within the strategic plan and the student cantered improvement framework. They will value partnerships and working collaboratively with others to enrich the learning experience for the students, staff and community at UC High School Kaleen. The successful applicant will require a strong understanding of High School operations to effectively manage resources in partnership with the principal. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Prior to commencing in this role a minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification; a current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT TQI) and a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
