If you are a passionate HR professional with experience in delivering a broad range of HR services to a high standard, we have a rare opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our APAC HR team in Perth.
This permanent part-time role (3 or 4 days per week, 0.6 or 0.8 FTE) is based in our modern offices near Elizabeth Quay, with the flexibility to work from home on agreed days each week.
The APAC HR team delivers comprehensive HR support to offices in Australia and Japan while actively collaborating with and contributing to Xodus' global HR team.
Reporting directly to the HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor plays a crucial role in driving a variety of Human Resources initiatives.
These include employee relations, recruitment, performance management, talent development, the creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures, psychosocial safety measures, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Requirements Key duties will include but are not limited to: Ensure compliance with relevant Australian legislation, staying informed of changes in employment laws and regulations to maintain organisational compliance.
Liaise effectively with external providers, including HR Support in Japan and the Australian outsourced payroll provider, to ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of issues.
Maintain and update HR policies in line with current legislation, contributing to the review and publication of the Employee Handbook to ensure alignment with local employment laws and best practices.
Manage the end to end recruitment process and assist hiring managers with interview techniques, pre-screens, writing job descriptions, and developing effective recruitment campaigns.
Coordinate key HR initiatives such as the annual salary review process, psychosocial hazard surveys, and bi-annual engagement surveys, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Respond to employee queries and provide guidance on HR matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and other issues, escalating complex matters to the HRBP as needed.
Support performance management processes by assisting with the development and implementation of performance evaluation methods and coaching managers in best practices.
Oversee the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, fostering a seamless and positive experience that reflects our commitment to being 'The Place to Work.'
Utilise HRIS for data management and analytics, generating reports to support data driven decision making.
Organise and manage activities related to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) calendar to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Facilitate employee training and development programs, equipping both employees and managers with the necessary skills for growth.
Drive initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture and enhance employee engagement.
Contribute to the global HRIS implementation, providing valuable insights and feedback from our region to ensure its successful deployment.
Key skills and experience required for you to succeed in this role, will include: Tertiary qualification in Human Resources.
Demonstrated experience within a HR advisory role providing a wide range of HR Generalist support in a professional services environment.
Strong understanding of Australian employment law, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and other relevant legislation Ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
High level of organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and an HRIS.
Well-developed communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation.
