Manager Information and Support Services Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 (plus superannuation) Fixed term: 2 years Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: 121 Exhibition St, Melbourne (flexibility may be available) The Role The Manager Information and Support Services role will be a part of a team supporting apprenticeship policy, projects and programs in Apprenticeships Victoria. The primary functions of the role will be to lead research and drafting of information in various formats that clarify rights, wages and responsibilities for apprentices, trainees and employers that are factual, clear and accessible and deliver on key program deliverables within specified timeframes. Research and development of material will include information relating to wages (from the relevant award), conditions, training, and where to seek help. The methodology on how information will be distributed and updated so it remains relevant will also be captured in this project. Key accountabilities include: Produce high-quality, accessible information material and communications that meet the needs of diverse audiences. Provide specialist advice on apprenticeship and traineeship industry, and employment information including legislation and regulation. Prepare and present written briefings, discussion papers, submissions and reports for the DJSIR executive, ministers or key decision makers. The Team The position of Manager Information and Support Services forms a part of the Insights and Reform unit within the Apprenticeships Victoria (AV) Branch within the Skills and Employment (SE) Group. Skills and Employment (SE) focuses on enabling Victorians to gain access to skills and employment opportunities and enabling a strong pipeline of workers to meet Victoria's skills needs, now and into the future. AV works with its key partners including the wider group and department, the Victorian Skills Authority, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority and the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery, to deliver a pipeline of skilled workers for government's priority industries. About You To be best suited to this role you will have sound project management, people management, problems solving and research skills as well a highly developed editorial and written communication skills. An ability to work autonomously is required as well as an ability to quickly develop a detailed understanding of the apprenticeship and traineeship environment.
