Your Opportunity:
The Principal Project Officer – Finance and Business Services is responsible for the provision of trusted, insightful and comprehensive financial advice with the primary aim of contributing to the delivery of strategically driven outcomes.
This includes providing sound strategic analysis and options, informing and influencing decision making and presenting analysis to assess, support or challenge key decisions for the New Bundaberg Hospital project and other associated capital infrastructure projects within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director, New Bundaberg Hospital Project (NBHP).
What we're looking for:
Demonstrated experience in Finance Business Partnering within large public or commercial sector organisations.
You must have a solid understanding of the core competencies of management accounting and the ability to quickly and effectively build rapport with clients and customers.
Demonstrated experience in preparing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on program/project budgets and knowledge of financial pressures and constraints impacting on delivery.
Demonstrated ability to identify financial risk areas and the ability to work as a senior partner in a team environment to implement improvements and resolve problems.
High level organisational skills with the ability to manage a high workload, competing priorities and ability to meet deadlines and establish work priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high level of attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build constructive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Understanding of contemporary Human resource management practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant tertiary qualification and membership of CPA Australia (or equivalent professional accounting body) is highly desirable.

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $166,569 p.a., comprising salary between $136,035 - $145,990 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO7) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment for up to 3 years with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
