Worley is offering traineeships for designers working out of our Perth office commencing February 2025. We are seeking applications from people completing Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma level studies in Mechanical or similar disciplines.

What you’ll be doing
1. Under supervision you will be working on a variety of projects including energy, new energy, infrastructure and resource scopes, tasks will include:
2. Delivering Mechanical specific design and drafting services that meet Worley, the customer's and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
3. Performing design and drafting assignments on projects while meeting project requirements on time and within budget.
4. Identifying and reporting changes to project scope.
5. Preparing engineering drawings and documentation.
6. Communicating effectively with the Trainee Mechanical Designer team and project stakeholders.
7. Establishing and maintaining good working relationships within Worley.
8. Identifying issues and problems and asking for assistance when required.
What you’ll bring
9. Be technically inquisitive, ask questions and challenge the norm
10. Developing technical and practical design and drafting skills in the Mechanical discipline in the same or similar industry.
11. Developing skills in design software and an aptitude for 3D modelling work.
12. Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
13. Current working rights for Australia valid for at least 2 years.
Education and Qualifications
14. High School graduate or equivalent
15. Completed or undertaking recognised and relevant design qualification courses or equivalent such as Diploma of Engineering
16. Experienced Applicants who have worked in trades (boilermaker, electrician, etc) (beneficial) – Minimum requirements: Certificate III in Engineering – Technical or Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (working towards Diploma of Engineering)
17. Interest and capability in using surveying tools such as laser scanner (beneficial).
