Reception and Administration Volunteer
This is an ongoing role providing quality reception and administration support to the office. The volunteer will be the first point of contact for visitors and clients, providing a safe and calm environment in the reception area.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer phone calls and direct incoming calls, taking and forwarding messages as required
* Respond to internal and external enquiries via email in a timely manner
* Perform various administrative tasks such as data entry, ordering office supplies, printing and posting correspondence, sorting and distributing mail, and other routine administrative duties
* Provide support to clients for basic tasks including form-filling and providing details of other relevant support services
* Maintain privacy and confidentiality
Requirements
* Prior experience in reception or administration is highly regarded
* Excellent records management, organisational and general office administration skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to engage in a positive manner with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
* A comfortable and confident approach when speaking on the phone with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) clients
* Working proficiency in MS Office or similar software and experience using databases

* Undertake a National Police Check prior to commencement and renewed every 5 years, which will be organised through Red Cross
