Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL)Full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 3 yearsBase salary will be in the range $80,448.78 - $107,104.10 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level A) OR $112,572.59 - $133,381.10 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level B)Based at our vibrant St Lucia CampusAbout This OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a Level A or Level B Academic Research Fellow to join a world-renowned team of researchers in the field of Organisational Behaviour. Specifically, the focus will be on hybrid work, work design, and trust in organisations as part of an ARC Discovery Grant. You will have the opportunity to engage in research to further your expertise and growing research profile to achieve national recognition in organisational behaviour. In advancing this research, you will work closely with Dr Caroline Knight and key stakeholders, contributing to collaborative research outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include: Research: Contribute to developing a team research program; collaborate on research projects; prepare materials for, and present at, seminars and national and international conferences; synthesise and analyse data using appropriate methods, primarily quantitative methodologies; conduct research and prepare human ethics submissions; publish in reputable journals; utilize best practice research methodologies; and participate in project discussions.Teaching: Contribute to undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching in the management area; contribute guest lecturers or seminars to undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in management.Supervision and Researcher Development: Contribute to supervision of Honours and/or Higher Degree by Research students; lead and manage support staff and researcher development; provide performance feedback and training; resolve conflicts; and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships; demonstrate leadership through mentoring; engage in internal service roles and committees; perform administrative functions; provide support to colleagues; and uphold university values.This is a research focused position. For Level A, you will have: Completion or very near completion of a PhD in the field of Organizational Behaviour. A focus on work design and hybrid work or related topics is preferred.An emerging profile in research in the discipline area.Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding.Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities.For Level B, you will have: Completion of a PhD in the field of Organizational Behaviour. A focus on work design and hybrid work or related topics is preferred.A growing profile in research in the discipline area.A developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.A growing record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.Experience in meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with active contributions to external activities.The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, education check etc.
