About the Team The School of Law is committed to excellence and innovation in teaching, research and community engagement.
It has a research focus on International Governance (including environmental law and corporate social responsibility); and Social Justice issues.
About the Role The School of Law is seeking to appoint a Director of Clinical Legal Education who will contribute to the strategic directions of the School and the University.
The Director of Clinical Legal Education will be expected to make a significant contribution to: The teaching of Law, curriculum development and quality improvement, particularly in the area of clinical legal education.
The research direction of the School, including regular publication in high impact national and international journals and the acquisition of competitive external research funding.
The supervision of honours, masters and higher degree research students.
The administration of postgraduate professional programs.
The Director of Clinical Legal Education is responsible for developing and leading the clinical legal education program at Western Sydney University School of Law.
This will be partly through the Western Sydney University Justice Clinic which provides a range of legal services to the community in Western Sydney and through the internship program.
The Director will grow the clinical program with the aim that all law students have an opportunity to undertake clinical study for academic credit.
