Timber Wood Worker Window Joiner / Machinist (Solid Timber)
We are Sashman Window Solutions, a dynamic timber window manufacturing business with our joinery works and factory located in Oakleigh. Our specialization lies in crafting heritage style solid timber windows and doors, providing customized replacements for both commercial and domestic projects.
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to join our team. The successful applicant will have the chance to work in a diverse role, utilizing and further developing their specialized skills in joinery work. The position available is full-time and we are looking to fill it immediately following a thorough interview process.
The role is based in our workshop in Oakleigh, where we operate a blend of modern and traditional machinery. The standard hours for this position are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime. The job is based on a 38-hour work week with a monthly rostered day off.

Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate must have some previous woodworking experience, specifically using traditional wood machinery and assembling timber windows and doors. Joiner or wood machinist qualifications are desirable. Some glass handling experience would also be beneficial. We value attention to detail, problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Description:
This role offers plenty of variety. As part of our team, you will be responsible for machining solid timber from cutting sheets and accurately processing materials through to the completed product (windows and doors). The assembly of machined components, finishing, and fitting hardware is also required. You will need to demonstrate the ability and competency to operate various timber machinery.
